Nesting during pregnancy, it’s a real thing

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been feeling the urge to buy a home, I’ve always wanted to buy property for myself but lately, the urge is too intense.

I feel the need to get property and settle in before my second child arrives (in 2 months), a bit unrealistic considering how long the process of buying a home is. This made me feel a bit crazy so I spoke to my sister about it, who then did some research and found that there’s a term for what I’m going through, nesting.

According to whattoexpect.com, Nesting, or the nesting instinct, is a burst of energy women often get in the last few weeks of pregnancy that inspires them to clean and organize the house in preparation for baby’s arrival.

I guess mine has been a bit too extreme, besides the fact that I don’t have enough time to buy a house before my child arrives in March, to be honest, I can’t afford to buy my own place right now. So I’ve decided I will move to a bigger space rather, continue renting until I’m at a better financial space to buy a property. But I can only move in November as I’ve recently signed a year lease at the place I currently live in, so in the meantime, I will redecorate my place and hopefully, that will make me feel a bit better.

If you’re like me, going through your nesting, here are a few tips I found on what to expect that could help.
